Clara Eggers, age 99, of White Lake, SD died Thursday November 13, 2008 at Aurora Brule Nursing Home in White Lake, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday November 17, 2008 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in White Lake, SD with burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour, SD. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in White Lake, SD with a rosary followed by a wake service beginning at 2:00 PM Sunday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Clara Eggers, daughter of George and Kathryn (Krussel) Eggers, was born May 24, 1909 in Corsica, SD. Her family moved to Mitchell, SD in 1951 where Clara was employed for 25 years at the Stevens Motel. She continued to make her home in Mitchell until moving into an assisted living facility in Mitchell in 2000. Clara then moved to White Lake, SD where she lived in the West Lane Apartments until moving to the Aurora Brule Nursing Home in 2005.

Survivors include her niece, Mary Peters and her husband, Lilburn, White Lake, SD; a sister-in-law, Eileen Eggers, Armour, SD; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by all her family; her parents; three brothers, Henry, George and Harry; three sisters, Margaret, Mary and Anne; two sister-in-laws, Eileen Eggers and Viola Eggers; a brother-in-law, John Bigge.
