Cindy Marie Broski, age 40, of Mitchell, SD died Monday, December 8, 2014 at Avera Queen of Peace ER. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at at a later date at St. Mark's Cemetery, Lake Andes, SD. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Cindy Marie Broski, daughter of Rhonda (Krokaugger) Broski and Glenn Broski, was born May 19, 1974 in Sioux Falls, SD. Cindy and her family made their home in Sioux Falls and later moved to Mitchell, SD in 1976. In Mitchell, Cindy attended school and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1993. She was employed with the Mitchell School District Food Service for 20 years. Cindy began her career at Mitchell Middle School and then for the last several years at Gertie Belle Elementary School. She loved working with the kids in the library and was very proud of her work with the tutoring program. Cindy was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she served as a eucharist minister, greeter and gift bearer. She was also a member of MCEA and SDEA. She enjoyed video games, cards, Wild Water West, traveling, Corn Palace Week and playing with her cats. Cindy loved to visit with people and because of this she never knew a stranger. She often ate breakfast at the American Legion and visited with her friends. She was always ready and willing to help her friends and family. Cindy truly loved being an aunt and godmother to her nephew, Bradley. Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Rhonda Broski, Mitchell, SD; her father, Glenn (Theresa) Broski, Pierre, SD; a sister, Bobbie (Brian) Davis, Santa Clara, CA; a nephew, Bradley Davis, Santa Clara, CA; two step brothers, Harry "Happy"(Sage) Briggs, Pierre, SD, Jon (Stephanie) Briggs, Pierre, SD; step nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marge and S.K. "Jiggs" Krokaugger, Glenn and Margarette Broski. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cindy's name.
