Chris Wermers age 35, of Mitchell, SD died Monday March 22, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM Sunday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Christopher Michael Wermers was born September 24, 1974 in Mitchell, SD. to Randy and Christine (Albertz) Wermers. He attended Mitchell public schools all his life. He was in the class of 93. He graduated on the Presidents List from Mitchell Tech. with an Associates Degree in applied science and accounting. He then went on to further his education at Dakota Weslyan University. He was on the Deans List, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting. Chris worked at Twin City Fan and went on to Dakota Pork and from there in 1998 began working for Graphic Packaging. He currently held the position of Assistant Manager of Quality Insurance. He loved his life, his family, his job and his friends. He enjoyed his children, camping, fishing, his dogs and anything outdoors.

He is survived by his parents; his grandparents Alvin and Janette Wermers, of Mitchell, SD; Milton (Bud) and Rhetha Albertz of Mitchell, SD; his brother, Mat, of Mitchell, SD; his sister, Tracie Wermers, of Sioux Falls, SD; his sons, Taylor of Mitchell, SD, Payten, Tony and Myles, of Sioux Falls, SD; one niece, Dru, Mitchell, SD; one nephew, Bryton, of Sioux Falls; plus many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents.
