Charles "Pete" Pederson, age 86, died Monday, June 12, 2017 at Firesteel Health Care Community. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a 7 PM Masonic Service.

He was born on December 17, 1930 in Two Harbors, MN. He attended school and graduated from Grand Marias High School in 1948.

Pete grew up along the North Shore of Lake Superior with his family. He was enlisted and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After the service he decided to become a plumber apprentice and began traveling all over the country working on various motels.

He was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star and the Corn Palace Shrine Club. In his spare time, Pete enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends and putting together jig saw puzzles.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife Barbara Pedersen of 33 years; daughter, JoRita Pedersen; and son, Mark (Candi) Pedersen, both of Phoenix, AZ; step-sons, Brad (Doreen) Schoenfelder and Mark (Becca) Schoenfelder both of Mitchell, SD and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
