Charlene R. Greenway, age 49, of Mitchell, died July 14, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at the First Lutheran Church, Mitchell, SD. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. She was born March 20, 1955, at Parkston, SD to Alvin and Edna (Geidel) Hohn. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1973. Charlene married Robert Greenway on April 27, 1974 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon. She had been employed at Palace Cleaners, Luekens Bakery and Catering and various other positions before joining the staff at United Blood Services. She was named Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and was a member of the First Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert, son, Clinton and special friend Jill Hoffman, of Mitchell; daughter, Amy and husband, Cory Goembel and granddaughter Serenity, of Sioux Falls; her father Alvin Hohn, Mt. Vernon; sisters, Mary Jane Giblin and husband, Kenny, Cherie Vanorny and husband Kevin all of Mitchell, brothers, LeRon Hohn and wife, Cathie, Austin, Minnesota and Jeff Hohn and wife, Lisa, Clovis, New Mexico, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, maternal grandparents, Wilhelm and Martha Geidel and paternal grandparents, Peter and Theresa Hohn.
