Cecilia Cele Wellner, age 97 of Mitchell, died Wednesday July 30, 2008 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab Center in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday August 2 at the Avera Brady Chapel in Mitchell. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the chapel at Avera Brady. Burial will be 11:00 AM MST Tuesday August 5 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Rapid City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Cecilia was born on October 18, 1910 to George and Emma (Blowers) Claude in Sherburn, MN. She attended Sherburn High School and graduated in 1928. She was united in marriage with Robert Wellner in Mitchell on February 16, 1930. The couple owned and operated the Bus Lunch and Earls Caf in Mitchell. They moved to Rapid City in 1962 where she owned and operated Celes Fashions in Rapid City. She returned to Mitchell in 1998. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Donald) Blindauer Mitchell, SD; a son, Maynard (Marion)Wellner Tucson, AZ; 19 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a daughter Wanda Kye Peck, and son in law Leonard Peck.
