Catherine L. Smith, 87, of Mitchell, died June 22, 2006 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Catherine was born on January 30, 1919, at Wagner, SD to William and Goldie (Sadler) Giblin. She grew up in Wagner and attended school there. She married Bud Smith on October 15, 1958, at Luverne, Minnesota. She spent most of her life in Mitchell. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons: Beryl Grohs and wife, Patsy, Apple Valley, CA, and Gary Grohs and wife, Brigget, Torrance, CA; four grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Giblin, Parkston, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
