Caroline Goldammer, age 86, of Mitchell, SD died Friday, December 21, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Caroline Goldammer, daughter of Walter and Kathleen (McHugh) Nolt, was born August 1, 1932 in Duluth, MN. She was united in marriage with Raymond Goldammer on January 9, 1954 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD.

Caroline raised five children and worked on the family farm with Ray until they moved to the family dairy farm on the east side of Mitchell. One the children were older, she began working for M&H for many years until she retired.

Caroline was a very active member of the Women of the Moose . She held various positions including the Senior Regent position as well as volunteering many hours at the Moose Lodge. Caroline also volunteered in the community center at Meadowlawn Plaza where she was the Activity Coordinator. She spent time with her Red Hat Ladies, enjoying every outing.

She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and all times spent together. Mom always had an open door and a giving heart; always willing to take in anyone or feed anyone. Her last day was spent sharing her time with friends and helping at the apartment community diner.

Caroline is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ray Goldammer, her children Kate (Clyde) Goin, Jeff (Janel) Goldammer, Mary (Steve Larsen) Jones, Barb (Brad) Larson, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a sister, Julie Graff.

She was preceded in death by her oldest son Steve "Hoss" Goldammer, two brothers and a sister.
