Carole Jean Phillips, age 75, of Mitchell, SD died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.

Carole Jean Phillips was born June 21, 1940 in Constantinople, Turkey to Pericles and Sophie (Maiden Name) Haleftiras. She was a private-duty LPN in Old Lyme, CT, and when she retired went to work for Structural Graphics in Essex, CT. She was known in her neighborhood in Connecticut for her Greek Food.

She was married to Constantine Zervos and the couple later divorced, Carole then married Petyro "Peter" Phillips.

Carole is survived by son,; daughter Elena (Charles) Mason, Mitchell, SD and her son Edward Mason; Constandino Perkes "Dino" Phillips, Bahamas;  and a brother, Pericles "Pat" Haleftira, Old Lyme, CT.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Petyro Phillips; and two sisters, Cynthia Mitchell and Cathy Osborne.
