Bus (Olen) Ettswold, age 68 of Letcher died November 26 ^th , 2020 at Huron Regional Medical Center, Huron, SD.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, April 17th, 2021, at the Letcher Community Church in Letcher, SD.  Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday, April 16 ^th , 2021 at the Will Funeral Chapel, Mitchell, SD.  Burial will be at Butler Cemetery in rural Letcher with a luncheon to follow at the Community Center in Letcher.

Bus was born on August 13 ^th , 1952 in Letcher to A.C. and Dorothy (Kelly) Ettswold. He grew up in the Letcher area and graduated from Letcher High School in 1970. On March 15 ^th , 1980 he married Melanie Wise in Letcher.  They made their home in Letcher.  Bus was co-owner of ABC Tractor Salvage in Howard and Letcher.  After his retirement from ABC Co. he developed the Wrangell Roadhouse Condos in Alaska.  Bus always enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and many great friends.  In his earlier years he enjoyed stock car racing and trapshooting.  More than anything Bus loved his family, especially his grandkids whether it was in Letcher, SD or Wrangell, AK.

Grateful for having shared his life is his wife Melanie.  His children, Angie Meier and husband Matt, Andy Ettswold and wife Melissa, Jerome Evans and wife Angie all of Letcher.  His grandchildren Ellie Evans, Parker and Wyatt Ettswold, and Maggie Meier all of Letcher.  Justin, Nate, & Dylan Larson of Sioux Falls.  Three sisters, Diana Campbell and Delores Mutziger of Mitchell. Polly (Tom) VonEschen of Noblesville, Indiana. Mother-in-law Clara Wise, Letcher, SD.  Sister-in-law Lori (Cal) Bratland, Letcher, SD and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents A.C. and Dorothy, father-in-law Ken Wise, brother-in-law LeRoy Mutziger and a very close family friend and business partner Charlie Shafranek.
