Obituary

Brittney Lee Hamberger, age 26, of Sioux Falls, SD died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in rural Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Brittney Lee Hamberger was born on January 21, 1992 in Parkston, SD. To Holly Hamberger Fechner and Andrew Kessler. She spent the first years of her life in Aberdeen, SD, Twin Falls, ID and Washington, IL. In 1992 Brittney had a brother Dustin Nordrum and in 1997 a sister Ali Gerriets. Dan Fechner joined the family in 1998.

In 1998 her and her family lived in Tripp, SD before moving to Mitchell in 2001 where she finished growing up.

In 2008 she met Adam Tietz and welcomed their first child Mya Lynn into this world on January 23, 2010. Brittney also graduated from Mitchell High School that same year. Brittney worked as a server at Perkins and Blarney's while living in Mitchell.

In 2013, she wanted to broaden her horizons beyond Mitchell so her and Adam and Mya moved to Sioux Falls. She continued to work at Perkins. She had a passion for animals, especially dogs. There was rarely a time in her life when she didn't have a dog by her side, sometimes more than one. As a teen, she would sneak dogs into the house.

In 2015, she followed her passion and found a career at Precious Pets Country Resort, where she worked as a pet care technician and she loved every second of it every day. If there was a dog that needed a home, Brittney made sure they had a home. In 2013, she gave birth to and lost her son Corey Lee Tietz to a rare birth defect, anencephaly.

After her loss, she found her strength in the gym. Brittney is big into fitness. Brittney's love for her family and friends was what was held close to her heart. Her heart and smile was always the biggest thing in the room.

In 2016, Brittney and Adam gave birth to Lily Evan Tietz, her rainbow baby. Her love for her children goes beyond words. She always refered to them as her "little loves". Everything she did was for her children. She will be deeply missed by all….
