Brian Timothy Hobaugh, age 39, of Letcher, SD died Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Will Funeral Chapel with burial at a later time. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Brian Timothy Hobaugh was born on October 24, 1975 in St. Paul, MN. He grew up in Moose Lake, MN and graduated from high school there in 1994. He graduated with an Associate Degree from Music Tech in Minneapolis, MN in 1995. Brian began playing in a succession of bands beginning in 1992. He was an accomplished singer, drummer, and guitarist. He was united in marriage with Missy Hoffman on September 19, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD. Grateful for having share his life are his wife, Missy (Hoffman) Hobaugh and stepson Michael, both of Letcher, SD; his mother, Doris Hobaugh of Green Bay, WI; his father, Tim Hobaugh of Cloquet, MN; his sister Jennifer Hobaugh of Hopkins, MN; his in-laws, Marlene and Bill Hoffman, Letcher, SD; a brother-in-law, Eddie (Tiffany) Hoffman, Letcher, SD. and grandparents-in-law Sally and Clarence Olson, Letcher, SD. Brian enjoyed living life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all of his relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Brian's name.
