Brenda's funeral service will be live streamed through the Downtown First United Methodist Church.  There will also be a sign language interpreter at the funeral service.

Brenda Marie Sievert, 56, of Kimball, MN passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Savanna Prairie Assisted Living in Kimball, MN.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Downtown First United Methodist Church in Mitchell, SD.  Visitation will be from 5:00 Pm until 7:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Will Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Brenda was born October 23, 1964 to Harold and Sandra (Weeks) Sievert in Mitchell, SD.  She participated in volleyball and basketball in high school and was a cheerleader for the boys' basketball team as well as the Pheasant mascot for the South Dakota School for The Deaf in Sioux Falls.  Brenda was in the Awareness Group, Jr. Nad and 4-H during her high school years.  She also participated in doing plays her junior and senior high school years.  Brenda graduated from the School for The Deaf in 1983 and from Iowa Western College in 1986 with a secretarial degree. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church on the same day as her sister, Teresa.

Pepperoni pizza was Brenda's favorite food and she always enjoyed eating it with her family and friends.  She also loved spending time with her nephews and nieces.  Brenda loved to go bowling, WIN at bingo, do crafts and watch the MN Vikings football games and the MN Twins baseball games.

Brenda worked at Shopko in Sioux Falls for 17 years, 8 months and 16 days.  She also worked at Shopko in River Falls, WI for one year, 3 months, and then at Shopko in St. Cloud for 12 years when she had to stop working due to MS.

Brenda is survived by her mom, Sandra Sievert, Mitchell, SD, brothers, Marlo (Coral) Sievert, Roger Sievert, and Scott Sievert (fiancé Kara Testerman), Mitchell, SD, sister, Teresa (Mike) Schiefelbein, Kimball, MN, nephews and nieces, Jonathon (Tara) Sievert, Nathon (Melanie) Sievert, Tyler Sievert and Cole Sievert, all of Mitchell, SD.  Skyler and Brandon Schiefelbein, both of Volga, SD, Amanda (Joe) Swenson, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jennifer Sievert, Mitchell, SD along with great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Sievert (2006) and her grandparents, Arthur and Viola (Kluth) Weeks and John and Evelyn (Fouberg) Sievert.
