Beverly Strand, age 57 of Mitchell, SD died Monday, March 13, 2017 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Beverly Strand, daughter of Ralph and Bernadine (Spier) Mashek, was born October 25, 1959 in Chamberlain, SD. She grew up in Kimball and attended school there. Beverly graduated from Kimball High School. After her schooling, she moved to Rapid City and was employed there. Beverly later moved to New Castle, WY.

She was united in marriage with Wyatt Strand in New Castle, WY on January 19, 1980. The couple made their home in New Castle until 1986. They then make their home in Mitchell, SD. Beverly was a stay at home mom and raised their children. When the children were older she began her career with Avera Home Medical. Beverly also was employed at Kmart, Ruby Tuesday's, Family Dollar, and Whiskey Creek.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and spending time with her children.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Wyatt Strand, Mitchell, SD; two children, Wesley (Vanessa) Strand and their children, Adilynn and Wyatt Strand, Dallas, TX, Whitney Strand and her son, Reid Tischler, Mitchell, SD; two brothers, Ronnie (Robin) Mashek, Kimball, SD, Randy Mashek, Kimball, SD; three sisters, Connie (Sandy) Stutts, Phoenix, AZ, Jeanette (Chad) Reifers, Gilbert, AZ, Wendy (Mitch) Cummings, Rapid City, SD; a brother-in-law, Mike Novak, Highmore, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Novak.
