Betty Schuster, age 84 of Mitchell died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Betty (Case) Schuster, daughter of Merle and Margaret (Schneider) Case, was born June 5, 1922 in Letcher, SD. She grew up in the Letcher area and graduated from Letcher High School. Betty was united in marriage with Thomas Gene Schuster on December 2, 1938 in Mitchell, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell. Betty was employed at the Coke Plant for several years and then at Jones Cleaners. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mitchell, SD. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Gene Schuster, Mitchell, SD; a son Garry Schuster and his wife, Renee, Sioux Falls, SD; a daughter-in-law, Verla Schuster, Rapid City, SD; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Case and his wife, Doris, Mitchell, SD, Ray Case, Mitchell, SD; a sister-in-law, Lela Case, Mitchell, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Schuster on November 3, 2006; and two brothers, Bill and Tom Case; and two sisters-in-law, Bonney and Leora.
