Bernard Patrick Pat Jones, 51 of Mitchell, SD died Friday, June 15, 2007 at his home under hospice care. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at Northridge Baptist Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Northridge Baptist Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Will Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. Pat Jones, son of Lionel Bud Jones and Earline (Dyer) Jones, was born June 18, 1955 in Mitchell, SD. He attended school in Mitchell, graduating from Mitchell High School in 1974. While in high school, Pat was active in sports and received the David Brewer Memorial Award his senior year. Pat was united in marriage with Nevada Anderson on August 13, 1976 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD. Pat was co-owner of Palace Cleaners. He considered the people he met on his route not just as customers but true friends. He was a Christian and a member of Northridge Baptist Church. At the church he served as head usher and with AWANA. Pat enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and yardwork. Some of his greatest pleasures in life were his God, his family and his grandbabies. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Nevada, Mitchell, SD; two sons, Jeremy Jones, Mitchell, SD, Dustin Jones, Mitchell, SD; a daughter, Serena Jones Grohs and her husband, Paul Grohs, Gaithersburg, MD; three grandsons, Austin Jones, Mitchell, SD, Nathan Jones, Sioux Falls, SD, Christopher Grohs, Gaithersburg, MD; a granddaughter, Sydney Grohs, Gaithersburg, MD; a step granddaughter, Haley Grohs, Gladstone, MO; a step grandson, Parker Grohs, Gladstone, MO; four brothers, Randy Jones and his wife, Dawn, Corvallis, OR, Rick Jones and his wife, Sue, Gilbert, AZ, Mike Jones, Mitchell, SD, Tim Jones and his wife, Deb, Mitchell, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and an infant brother, Richard. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pats name.
