Barbara Victoria Regan age 84, passed away March 27, 2012 at Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Will Funeral Chapel. Barbara Victoria Regan was born April 16, 1927, one of a set of twins to Clyde and Hazel (Beedle) Thompson. Barb was one child in a family of 15 children. During her life she held many jobs, helping people; waitress, hospital aid, sales clerk and school lunch programs. She earned her G.E.D. at age 43 then learned to type and also became a master gardener. She loved to dance, fish, camp and travel and was fortunate enough to have been able to do them all. She loved crafts such as painting by number, needlework and creating edible centerpieces for the grandchildren's wedding showers. She loved her family and she especially loved all the new babies she got to rock. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bert and brothers, James, Willis, Fredrick, Howard, Jerry, Richard, and a sister Edith. She is survived by two daughters; Sharice (Mike) Harris, Sioux Falls, SD, Charyl (Jim) Fields, Rapid City, SD, and a son Michael, Rapid City, SD; eight grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren, brothers Harold, Charles, Gerry, George, twin brother Bill and two sisters Ardith DeJong and Dorothy (Dale) Strand.
