Barbara Lanners, 75, of Sioux Falls, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Doughtery House in Sioux Falls, SD.  A private graveside service will be held.  Funeral arrangements by Will Funeral Chapel.

Barbara was born October, 27, 1946 in South Dakota to Jake and Marie (Janssen) Bauerle.  She attended school in Farmer and graduated from Farmer High School.  After graduation she worked at Loretta's Truck Haven and then attended Stewart's Beauty School.  On April 6, 1974 she married Edward Lanners.  The couple traveled many places for Ed's work, including OH, CA, CO, and TN before settling in Sioux Falls, SD. Barbara also worked at Lewis Drug and Osco Drug.

Barbara enjoyed embroidery, reading, collecting ornaments for her seasonal holiday trees.  Barbara had holiday trees she decorated for every season. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and rummage sales to find ornaments and figurines. She would often find items at thrift stores and rummage sales she would then sell on Ebay. She loved keeping in contact with her many friends.  She would email them or even type them letters on her typewriter.  Barbara also enjoyed going to her brother, David's farm and helping bottle feed lambs.

She is survived by 1 sister, Patricia Meyer, 3 brothers, David Bauerle of rural Alexandria, SD, John (Marilyn) Bauerle of rural Alexandria, SD, Jerald (Bonnie) Bauerle of Sioux Falls, SD, 4 nieces, Mandy and Jessie of Sioux Falls, Becky (Brock) of Spearfish, SD, Rachael (Meyer) (Dustin) Maricle of Magnolia, TX and 1 nephew, Richard (Adelle) of Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Marie (Janssen) Bauerle and her husband, Edward Lanners.

Patsy and David would like to thank Asera Care for the help they provided by coming to the house while she was living at home and providing medical services and a special thanks to Dougherty House for the wonderful care they provided Barb in the last days of her life with us.
