Arnold H. Grohmann age 77, of Mitchell, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Firesteel Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at a later date.

Arnold was born February 14, 1933 in Fulton, SD to Dave and Anna (Hargens) Grohmann. He attended school in Fulton and graduated from Fulton High School. Arnold entered the US Army in April of 1953 and served during the Korean Conflict and was discharged in March of 1955. He then entered the Army Reserve on April 1, 1955 and was discharged in July of 1960 at the rank of SP4.

Arnold was united in marriage to Isabella Kurtenbach on July 15, 1957. They lived in Rapid City for a short time and he worked as a fireman, returning home he was involved in farming, carpentry and drove truck for many years.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife Isabella; children Donna (Neal) Bierman of Avon, SD, Diane (Mike) Nedved of Mt. Vernon, SD, Glenn Grohmann of Fulton, SD and Gene (Jane) Grohmann of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters Doris Grohmann of Mitchell, SD and Della Schulz of Alexandria, SD; four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law.
