Arlue Titze age 68 of Mitchell died Sunday October 5, 2008 at Avera McKennen Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be Friday 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 6:30PM. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in rural Dimock.
Arlue was born on January 6, 1940 in Mitchell to Emil and Ella (Schrank) Buelher. She attended school at Aurora County country grade school and high school. She married DeWayne Titze on June 16, 1956 in Sunnyside, Washington. The couple moved back home and lived west of Stickney until 1973. After moving to Mitchell in 1973, Arlue had many skills and worked many different jobs. She was a seamstress for Geyermans and JcPenneys. Also worked for Syncom in Mitchell for 15 years, before working with Trail King for 14 years. Arlues goal to receive her GED happened in 2002 at the age of 62. Arlue also worked for National Foods in Mitchell for 5 years. She most enjoyed her times with family and friends, especially her ceramic shop in her basement, at the movies, and the many card games and casino trips.
Arlue is survived by her husband DeWayne of Mitchell, 4 children: Leon Titze of Mitchell, SD; Colleen (Tim) Morrison of Brazoria, TX; Robert Titze of Mitchell, SD; and Crystal (John) Morgan of Alexandria, SD. 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. A sister Bonnie Greene of Mt. Vernon, SD and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Wayne Lee Titze, and 3 daughters: Debra, Deloris, and Dora.
