Anna B. (Muilenburg) Schultz, age 86 of Mitchell, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Burial will be 9:00 AM Monday October 20, 2008 at Graceland Cemetery in Corsica. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 20, 2008 at the First Reformed Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the Will Funeral Chapel with prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel of Mitchell, SD.Anna Hoekman, daughter of Wessel and Nellie (DeLange) Hoekman was born June 3, 1922 on the family farm in Charles Mix County, SD . She attended country school and later attended Platte High School. After her schooling Anna helped on the family farm and also helped area neighbors. She was united in marriage with Arthur Muilenburg on July 25, 1946 in New Holland, SD. The couple made their home on a farm west of Corsica and then on a farm east of Corsica. The couple farmed there until moving to Mitchell in 1962. In Mitchell, Anna was employed as a nurse's aid at the Methodist Hospital. She also worked as a waitress at the Sunshine Caf and later at the Village Bowl Caf. Arthur passed away on October 17, 1977.She was then united in marriage with Clarence Schultz on December 8, 1978 in Mitchell, SD. The couple continued to make their home in Mitchell. Anna loved to embroider pillow cases and watch Atlanta Braves baseball.Anna was a member at First Reformed Church, Women of the Moose, and the American Legion Auxiliary.Anna is survived by her husband Clarence Schultz, Mitchell, SD; her son, Arlan (Vickie) Muilenburg, Mitchell, SD; 5 grandchildren, Rhonda Kerr, LaFayette, IN and her children, Karl Kerr, Lucinda Kerr, both of LaFayette, IN, Alicia Kerr, Kingsport, TN; Melissa (Don) Puepke, Pierre, SD and their children, Morgan, Maci and Dawson Puepke, Pierre, SD; Alan (Rhonda) Muilenburg, Lawton, OK and their child, Cali Muilenburg, Lawton, OK; Shawn (Stephanie) Sabau, Crown Point, IN the their children, Blake and Addison Sabau, Crown Point, IN; Rashelle Howard, Crown Point, IN and her child, Cheo Howard, Crown Point, IN; 1 great great-grandchild, Jacob Kerr, LaFayette, IN; one brother, Alvin (Bette) Hoekman, Brandon, SD.She was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur, a daughter Nelva 'Penny' Sabau on October 8, 2008, her parents and her brother, Frederick.
