Ann R. Wacker, age 96, of Mitchell, SD died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial at Servicemen's Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Ann Metzinger, daughter of John and Celina (Vande Voorde) Metzinger, was born October 29, 1919 in Davison County. She grew up and attended school in Letcher, SD. After her schooling, Ann moved to Mitchell and worked at North American Ice Cream Store for six years. Ann was then employed at Buche's Store as a salesperson for 38 years.

She was united in marriage with Eugene Wacker on July 11, 1963 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell.

Survivors include niece and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; and great great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wacker; her parents; a brother, Sylvester Metzinger; and two sisters, Marie McGee and Loretta Cunningham.
