Ann Johnson passed away in Mitchell, SD on October 1, 2024, after a valiant fight all summer with illness.

Celebration of life will be held next summer in the Black Hills of South Dakota when family can gather and celebrate her life.

Ann was born in Parkston, SD to Klara (Kilber) and Erwin Meinke on July 10, 1945. She attended school in Mitchell, SD. She married Russel Johnson and from this union two daughters were born.

She was a lifelong resident of Mitchell South Dakota.  She worked at a variety of places, Herter's and The Queen of Peace Hospital, to name a few.

Ann loved to go to the rodeo, demolition derby, and have a nice car. You would often find Ann baking, cooking or creating crafts to share with everyone. She was always willing to help anyone with whatever they needed.

She dearly loved her family and friends. Ann's face would light up when she talked about her family and friends or knew they would be by for a visit.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Storme (Rocky) of Amboy Washington and Linda Nohr of Rapid City, South Dakota. She also has 6 grandkids and 6 great grandkids. There are also many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Otto, Reinhold, and Dale, and one sister Carol.
