Angeline M. McTighe age 95, of Mitchell died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. She was a long-time resident of Mitchell and was proud to be the first resident of Countryside Living when it opened in 1997. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday October 24, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Ethan. Angeline was born January 3, 1916 on the family farm near Ethan, SD. She was the first daughter of Anna (Bowar) and John Erpenbach. Angeline particularly enjoyed baking sugar cookies for her grandchildren, fishing, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two children: Mary Ann (Terrence) Dolan, Wilmette, IL, and William "Bill" (Dorothy) Mechtenberg, Golden, CO; five grandchildren: Katherine, Deerfield, IL, Patrick, Wilmette, IL, Elizabeth, Des Plaines, IL, Meaghan, Arlington, VA, and Patricia, Denver, CO; seven great grandchildren. In addition, sisters Marie Roth, Mitchell, SD, Lillian Roth, Hastings, NE, sister-in-law, Marie Erpenbach, Ethan, SD; the Darrel McTighe family, Pierre, SD; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Nelle Funk, Mildred Jorgensen and Juanita Kingdon of Countryside Living. Angeline was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Mechtenberg, Jr. and Robert McTighe; brothers Leo, Urban, Anthony (Dick), Joseph (Joe), Arthur (Art), and sisters, Lorraine Allbee and Jeanette Meyer. Angeline's family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Countryside Living who served her so well in addition to the staff of Avera Hospital and Avera Brady.
