With profound sorrow and deep love, we celebrate the life of Angela JoAnn Reichenberg, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, fiancé, and friend. Angie lived her life as a testament to her unwavering faith in Jesus. She found joy in His grace, strength in His promises, and comfort in knowing that His love carried her through every season of life. She lived out her faith by her kindness, encouragement, and her servant's heart with everyone she encountered.
Angie was born on January 14, 1980, and spent much of her life in Huron, South Dakota, before graduating from Mitchell High School. She pursued her passion for healthcare at Mitchell Technical College, becoming a skilled phlebotomist and serving as a Lead Lab Tech at Avera Grasslands in Mitchell, where her dedication and expertise touched many lives. Her devotion to helping others extended beyond her profession. She gave freely and generously of herself, always offering love, laughter, and support to those in need.
Angie brought light and joy to everyone she met. She was the kind of person whose presence could brighten a room, not just with her beautiful smile, but with her kindness, quick wit, and a sense of humor that lifted spirits and brought people together. Whether she was sharing a funny story, offering a shoulder to lean on, or simply showing up, Angie had a way of making life feel a little lighter and more bearable. There was something about her that made each person feel uniquely special. One of her most cherished phrases was, "I so appreciate you," words she spoke often and meant every single time. Her gratitude was genuine, and her kindness unforgettable.
Angie will be forever cherished by her grandfather, Neil Reff; her parents, Jeff & Pat Hotchkiss and Sharyl & Doug Burmeister; and her children, Alyssa & Jacob. She also leaves behind her loving siblings: sisters Amy and Arynne (Lorenzo); brother Colton; stepbrothers Tim Prins, Jerin (Tara) and Jay (Steph) Burmeister; and stepsisters Jill (Pete) Lux & Rebecca Prins. Her fiancé, Pablito Torres, along with his daughter Addysen and grandson Sully. Uncles Larry, Ron & Gary (Deb) and aunts Rosie (Bob), Katie (Les), and Sue (Craig). Angie was a devoted aunt to Lady Shimaray, Larenzo (Jenessa), Lynden, Leah, Ava, Ana, and Mateo, whose lives were enriched by her presence. Her beloved, rebellious cats, Veda and Tux, will always have a special place in her heart.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gerry & Arlene Hotchkiss and JoAnn Reff, Uncle Dave and her stepbrother Eugene Prins. While she is no longer physically with us, Angie's kindness, faith, strength, and love have left lasting fingerprints on our hearts. Angie placed her trust in the Lord, and we take comfort in knowing she now rests in His eternal embrace.
