Anelia Amy Iburg, age 83 of Mitchell, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday October 11, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell with burial at the American Legion Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Will Funeral Chapel with prayer service beginning at 7:00
Anelia was born on October 28, 1924 to Harm and Minnie (Weeldreyer) Stubbe on a farm northwest of Marion, SD. She was baptized on May 3, 1925 at the First Reformed Church in Monroe, SD. She received her education in Marion. On October 9th, 1964 she was united in marriage to Fred Iburg of Mitchell. To this union was born one son Brian.
She is survived by her son Brian (Karol) of Mitchell, 4 loving grandchildren: Shanna, Justin, Jamie and Shelly Iburg all of Mitchell. A sister Viola (Kenneth) Terveen of Mitchell; also many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband on January 25, 1991, her parents, four sisters Helen, Margaret Leta and Ruth; and two brothers Heije and Alvin.
