Corporal Amelia Rose Miller age 23, of Twentynine Palms, CA (formerly of Mitchell) died Sunday, June 16, 2013 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Servicemen's Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Cpl. Amelia Rose Miller(Labuff) was born May 15, 1990 in Yankton, SD. At the age of nine her and her sisters were in foster care with Rodnie and Ann Miller. She and her sister were later adopted by Rodnie and Ann Miller. She attended grade school at Gertie Bell Rogers and Graduated from Mitchell Senior High School in 2009. After graduation she joined the Marines went to Basic training in Parris Island, SC from January 25, 2010 to April 23, 2010. After graduating from basic she was stationed at Twenty nine Palms on July 25, 2010 until her untimely death. Amelia was proud to be a Marine. Amelia loved spending time with family and friends. She was a kind and loveable person. Always smiling and laughing. Grateful to have shared her life are her parents, Rodnie and Ann Miller of Mitchell; three sisters Mandie Miller of Nalott, WA, Andrea Croucher of Mitchell and Ashley Miller of Mitchell; three brothers Anthony Bear Robe-Hofwolt of Mitchell, Alex Bear Robe-Hofwolt of Mitchell, Elijah Miller of Mitchell, one niece, Lilith, one nephew, Ayden, two foster sisters, Jade Shouldis of Mitchell, Sarena Boyer of Sioux Falls, grandmothers Corrine Granger of Mitchell and Jan Wolf of Alexandria, one grandfather Marc Miller of Michigan and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Amelia was preceded into death by her grandfathers, Eugene Granger and Paul (Zeke) Wolf.
