Alvin Bud Kitto, age 76, of Fulton, SD died Sunday July 15, 2007 at Firesteel Heathcare Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Servicemens Memorial Cemetery. Visitation begins at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday. Bud Kitto, son of Lester and Flossie (McCune) Kitto, was born October 27, 1930 on the family farm in rural Fulton, SD. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school and later completed his schooling in Fulton. After his schooling, Bud began driving truck. He entered the US Army on January 19, 1951 and served in Germany and Korea during the Korean War. Bud was honorably discharged on February 4, 1954 and returned to the Fulton area. Bud was united in marriage with Jeanette Schneider on September 14, 1963 in Mitchell, SD. Bud drove truck for several businesses; including Tri-County Implement, Selland Trucking, and OConnor Trucking. He retired on November 27, 2001. He was a member of the Fulton, Farmer, Epiphany American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW. Bud collected John Deere collectables and also enjoyed western movies. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Jeanette Kitto, Fulton, SD; five children, Sherri Kitto, Mitchell, SD, Jim Kitto, Mt. Pleasant, IA, Mark Kitto, Mitchell, SD, Kelli Kitto, Bradley, SD and Kyle Kitto, Fulton, SD; three grandchildren, Brandon, Cheyenne and Arrika, all of Mitchell, SD; two step grandchildren, Rebecca and Edward Van Dueren, Mt. Pleasant, IA; three step great grandchildren, Reshana, Rellana and Elizabeth, Mt. Pleasant, IA; four sisters, Arlyne (Herb) White, Cheyenne, WY, Helen Kurtenbach, Mitchell, SD, Bessie (Gene) Charles, Rapid City, SD and Wauneta (Bob) Brown, Aurora, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clyde Kitto.
