Alice Schneider, age 95, of Woonsocket, SD died Friday at Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket, SD. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday October 11, 2010 at Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Letcher, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Alice Severson, daughter of Thomas and Ida (Larsen) Severson, was born in Sanborn County, SD on September 19, 1915. She grew up on the family farm in Sanborn County and attended country school. Alice moved to Mitchell, SD and attended school there, graduating from Mitchell High School in 1934.

Alice was united in marriage with George Rogers on April 8, 1939 in Woonsocket, SD. The couple farmed in Sanborn County for several years. George died on September 8, 1968. Alice made her home in Letcher, SD. Alice then was united in marriage with Charles Schneider on March 15, 1973 in Letcher, SD. The couple continued to live in Letcher for many years, later they moved to Mitchell and made their home at Meadowlawn Plaza. In the fall of 2003 Alice made her home at Prairie View Care Center.

Alice enjoyed quilting and puzzles. In her earlier years she enjoyed gardening.

Grateful for having shared her life are her sister, Marian Regynski, Woonsocket, SD.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; three brothers; and five sisters.
