Albertine "Tina" Anderst age 104, of Mitchell died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Firesteel Heathcare Community. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery.

Albertine Wilhelmina Anderst was born June 20, 1912 on a farm near Mt. Vernon, SD to Gottlieb and Bertha (Ziebart) Reimnitz. She was baptized in Davison County and confirmed June 5, 1927 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Flensburg, SD.

She left this earthly life on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Firesteel Healthcare Community in Mitchell where she lived for the past 9 years and 5 months.

Albertine attended country school and had to leave school to run the farm and helped raise four of the siblings.

In her late twenties she went to Austin, MN and worked as a nanny, there she met Carl Henry Anderst who she married in 1941 and moved to Fairmont, MN where they farmed and Jerald and DuWayne were born there. They then moved to Mitchell where Dennis was born. She was s full time mother until they purchased the Palace Café across from the Corn Palace, also they opened the Anderst Café next to Gambles on south main, which they ran until 1964. Tina was a seamstress and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she made many quilts for missionary work. If you were fortunate to receive a hug from Tina you know you were truly loved.

Grateful for sharing her life were her sons Jerald (Pat) Anderst of Florida and Dennis of Mitchell; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death was her husband Carl; parents; son DuWayne Anderst; three brothers and one sister.
