Adeline Mary Sprecher was born at Hillside, rural Dimock on August 30, 1922 to Joseph and Theresa (Miiller) Hohn. She was baptized at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Etahn, SD. She attended rural school through the eighth grade. Adeline moved to Mitchell and worked at Armour's Creamery, Corn Palace Motel, Silver Star Motel and the Chief Motel. Adeline was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she married Ewald Sprecher on November 25, 1958. Adeline enjoyed going gambling, playing bingo and watching her favorite TV shows. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Grateful for sharing her life are her daughter Darlis (Glen) Perry of Pierre, SD; daughter-in-law Denise Sprecher of Luverne, MN.; grandchildren Alissa (Dusty Dougherty) Hanson of Sioux Falls, SD, Ashley (Mike) Harmon of Lake Crystal, MN., Kelsey Hanson of Sioux Falls, SD, Kolton Hanson of Sturgis, SD, Kricket (Ryan) Arends of Little Rock, IA, Wyatt Sprecher and McKenzie Sprecher of Luverne, MN.; great-grandchildren, Emma Dougherty, Jacob Harmon, Payton, Dane and Maci Arends and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ewald; son Douglas; brothers Delmer (Evelyn), Norman (Irene) and Dick (June); sister Lorraine (Ted) McHugh.
