Aaron Hanson, age 25, of Mitchell, died August 30, from injuries as a result of a motorcycle-car accident on Highway 14 near Huron. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a 7 PM prayer service. Burial will be in St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Cemetery at Alexandria. Aaron Steven Hanson, son of Dawn (Ward) Hanson and Steven Hanson was born December 9, 1979 in Mitchell, SD. He grew up his entire life in Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell Senior High School in 1998. During high school he was employed at Taco Johns. After graduation, he was employed by Trail King, Dakota Pork, and currently at Good Sports, Inc. in which he was able to travel all over the country. As a young boy he enjoyed a special relationship with his Grandpa Ward, fishing or just hanging out. He loved spending time with friends and in the past few years he had come to realize how special family was to him. He loved his two little sisters and always looked out for them, (even though we all knew it was the other way around). He discovered his passion for motorcycle riding this last year and spent many hours on his bike. He was especially proud he made the ride to Sturgis with his sister this year. He died as he lived, happy go lucky. Grateful for sharing his life are his mother, Dawn Hanson, Mitchell; father, Steve Hanson, Pierre, SD; two sisters, Angela Hanson, Sioux Falls and Kylee Hanson, Mitchell; three half sisters; Alissa Hanson, Ashley Hanson, Kelsey Hanson and one half brother, Kolton Hanson, all of Ft. Pierre, SD; paternal grandparents, DeWayne and Carol Hanson, Mitchell, SD; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and family friend Dan Fridley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Helen Ward.
