Aaron Dee Erickson, age 63, of Mitchell, SD, died December 17, 2015 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Will Funeral Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior.

Aaron Dee Erickson was born February 5, 1952 to Donald and Norma (Johnson) Erickson. He was one of seven children. He grew up on a farm, attended country schools, and graduated from Hanson High School in Alexandria, SD. Growing up on a farm gave him knowledge of the outdoors, which help him in many aspects of his life, from hunting and hard work to getting along with six siblings. Aaron was a long-term employee at Trail-King until health issues forced him to retire.

Aaron was an avid dart-thrower for many years. He enjoyed competing and socializing with many friends he acquired throughout the years. He also enjoyed motorcycles, nice cars, and 80's music. He will be so deeply missed by his family and his latest companion, Gizmo, his foot-warming dog.

He is survived by his five siblings, Tyra Lee, Arizona, Dona (Bob) Balcom, Mitchell, SD, Bob (Karla) Erickson, Mitchell, SD, Bill (Jan) Erickson, California, and Dorothy (Craig) Nopens, Lake Preston, SD; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Julie Davenport.
