Edward Francis Yellowbird, age 58, of Mitchell, SD died Saturday January 30, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Salvation Army with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Salvation Army. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Eddie Yellowbird was born August 11, 1951. At a young age his parents died and Eddie moved to Mitchell and became a foster child to Ed and Marie Liddeke. He grew up and attended school in Mitchell. Eddie was disabled, but was well known around Mitchell.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and talking to people. Eddie also participated in Special Olympics.

Survivors include his foster brother, Dale Brondel, Mitchell, SD; special friends, Sandra Richards, Lead, SD, Steve Liddeke, Mitchell, SD, Kent Liddeke, Mitchell, SD, Julie Crang, Mitchell, SD, and Janell Goldammer, Mitchell, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his foster parents.
